Plants as Food and Medicine |
|||
Some plants are good for food and others have healing properties our ancestors discovered the use of local plants long ago. Here at Seaweeds our first choice is to use local plants from the fields, woods and seashore. The plants we use are wild–crafted in an ethical manner done with proper respect. Only the branches or flowers from plants are taken and the living plant is left, if it is necessary to take the whole plant the seeds of the plant are placed in the hole from which the plant was taken. Care is taken to only remove a few plants, flowers, or branches, so plenty remains to continue the supply. We practice and teach ethical ways of using native herbs and trees. |
